Marsha's first book, YogaKids: Educating the Whole Child Through Yoga, will be out in Fall 2003, and available on this site and in stores nationwide.

Marsha is a certified adult yoga instructor as well as a certified yoga therapist for children with special needs. Through her YogaKids Facilitator Certification Program hundreds of facilitators are being trained to teach YogaKids. She travels extensively around the country presenting this program at schools, yoga centers and other educational facilities. The interest in this program has grown exponentially since she started this training program with 4 students in 1996. It is considered the premier program for yoga education and trainees and facilitators can be found across the USA as well as in Switzerland, England, Canada, The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico and Italy.

Marsha began the process of introducing yoga and movement to schools when she taught creative writing as part of the California Poets in the Schools program in the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1986. She is also a poet and her work appears in a handful of poetry anthologies. She believes that poetry is a very integral part of the YogaKids program. In 1991, she began teaching the YogaKids at the Montessori School in Michigan City, Indiana. There she served for several years as the President of the Board.

Marsha is the co-founder and director, along with her yogi husband Don Wenig, of Dancing Feet Yoga Center in Michigan City, Indiana. Over the years, they have developed their children and family programs. In the early nineties they conducted YogaKids Family Fun weekends on their property, where families came together to share nature, cooking, honesty and yoga. The Wenig family now teaches international retreats in Mexico, Costa Rica, Bali and retreat centers around the country including Kripalu, the oldest and largest residential yoga retreat center in the world.

Marsha Wenig graduated from Rutgers College with a Bachelor's degree in Human Communications. She continued her studies at UCLA and Purdue University in Indiana. She also holds a certification with Project WILD, an Indiana Environmental Education Program and an Herb Certificate from a year long study with Master Herbalist, Louise Gruenberg.

Her joy is to bring forth YogaKids in children of all ages.
